The journey
Europe's most spacious heritage train. Carriages built in 1928–1930 — originally for the British royal family's journeys to the Côte d'Azur — restored into a Belle Époque palace on rails. Seven days between Seville and Madrid through five UNESCO World Heritage cities: flamenco and the Alcázar in Seville, the Mezquita of Córdoba, dancing horses and sherry in Jerez, Roman Mérida, walled Cáceres and imperial Toledo.

Madrid — Aranjuez
Reception in Madrid, panoramic tour and lunch; board at Aranjuez with a welcome toast and visit its Royal Palace and UNESCO gardens.
Toledo
The imperial city of three cultures — Gothic cathedral, 10th-century mosque and medieval synagogues. Overnight toward Alcázar de San Juan.
La Mancha
Artisan cheese, a historic wine cellar and the windmills of Campo de Criptana — Don Quixote country.
Cáceres — Mérida
The perfectly preserved walled town of Cáceres, then the Roman theatre and ruins of Mérida, founded in 25 BC.
Jerez de la Frontera
The famous equestrian ballet 'How the Andalusian Horses Dance', lunch, and an afternoon in a renowned sherry bodega.
Cádiz — Córdoba
Morning in Cádiz, the oldest city in the West; afternoon at Córdoba's Mezquita-Cathedral and the old Jewish quarter.
Seville
Arrival in Seville and a tour of Spain's largest historic centre — cathedral, Giralda and the Real Alcázar. Journey ends about 1:30 pm.

Al Ándalus FAQs
Does the Al Ándalus visit Granada?
No — the current route runs Seville ⇄ Madrid via Córdoba, Jerez, Cádiz, Mérida, Cáceres and Toledo. The Alhambra is not on the itinerary, though we can arrange pre- or post-journey stays in Granada.
What does the Al Ándalus cost?
Only one 2026 departure is still bookable (6 September, Seville → Madrid), in Suite Deluxe at €7,900 per person double (€13,800 single) — Gran Clase is sold out for 2026. For 2027: Gran Clase €7,700 per person double (€13,050 single) and Suite Deluxe €9,200 (€16,050 single), with 10% early-booking savings using code 2027SPAIN.
What is the difference between the two cabin classes?
Suite Deluxe cabins (~8.3 m²) sit toward the front of the train with a fixed double bed and hydromassage steam-sauna shower; Gran Clase cabins (~6.6 m²) have twin beds converted from sofas each evening.
When does it run?
Spring and autumn, avoiding the Andalusian high summer — 2026 departures run September–October (nearly sold out), and the 2027 season runs from late March to October.
